Phantom - Great Musical
This rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical was good. I never saw Sarah Brightman as Christine, and she will always be THE Christine. I saw Michael Crawford a number of years ago, and he was GREAT; by comparison, this guy is OK. But seeing him up close makes it a little better. Our proximity to the stage and singers/actors made this a memorable event for both of us. The guy that plays Raul was the real hit of this musical; he has real stage presence, a great singing voice, and all the looks and moves to make his part the 'stand-out' in this musical. My wife and I had great seats for this show (second row; just about center). I give this show two-thumbs up; but 3 1/2 to 4 out of 5. Get them if you ever get the chance to get seats like this for any event; you won't regret it. If you can get close seats, you'll love it even more. And seeing her sing up close was fun.
